Mexico has a volcanic mountain called Popocatapetl, which is located approximately 70 km southeast of Mexico City. The name Popocatapetl means "smoking mountain" in the indigenous Nahuatl language. The volcano is active and has erupted several times in recent decades, including a major eruption in 2000 that resulted in the evacuation of nearby towns. Despite its activity, Popocatapetl remains a popular destination for hikers and adventurers.
