The soil type that does not contain any rock particles is organic soil. Organic soil is composed of organic matter such as decomposed plant and animal material, and is usually found in wetland areas. It does not contain any rock particles, and is usually dark in color.

The soil type that does NOT contain any rock particles is known as sand.

It is made up of fine-grain minerals, such as quartz, and does not contain any larger particles like gravel or rocks.

This makes sand soil well-draining but also low in nutrients.
