Dinosaurs are generally categorized into two separate groups based on their posture and locomotion. Sauropods, such as Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus, were large, four-legged dinosaurs that walked on all fours. Theropods, such as Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor, were smaller, bipedal dinosaurs that walked on two legs.

Dinosaurs are basically categorised into two separate groups based on their hip structure. The two groups are known as the Saurischia and the Ornithischia. Saurischian dinosaurs have a lizard-like hip structure, while Ornithischian dinosaurs have a bird-like hip structure.
