The average human running speed can vary widely depending on factors such as age, fitness level, and distance. However, for a rough estimate, the average adult human's running speed is typically around 5 to 7 miles per hour (8 to 11 kilometers per hour) for a comfortable jogging pace. Keep in mind that this is just an average, and some individuals may run faster or slower than this range. Professional sprinters, for example, can reach speeds well over 20 miles per hour (32 kilometers per hour) for short distances.
