The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and were located in the city of Babylon, in present-day Iraq. They were built by King Nebuchadnezzar II around 600 BCE and were considered to be an engineering marvel. The gardens were destroyed by an earthquake in the 2nd century BCE.
