In a polo match we have about four to six chukkar in a match. And this number is dependant on the level of the polo. For instance, low goal has four chukkars, medium goal has five chukkars, high goal has six chukkars. Each chukkar last for seven minutes with an interval of three minutes between each one.

There are between four and six chukkers in a match. Goal: Anytime the ball crosses the line between the goal posts, regardless of who (including ponies) knocks it through.

In a polo match, there are typically six chukkers. A chukker is a period of play in a polo match, which lasts for seven and a half minutes. At the end of each chukker, the players switch sides and the teams change horses.
