Millipedes typically have many legs, as their name suggests. While the number can vary between species, they generally have anywhere from 30 to 400 legs. Each body segment typically has two pairs of legs, although this can vary. Despite their name, which means "thousand legs," millipedes do not actually have a thousand legs, but they do have significantly more legs than centipedes.
