The first vending machine was invented by Hero of Alexandria in the 1st century AD and was used to dispense holy water. It was operated by a coin and when the coin was inserted, a valve opened and holy water was dispensed.

The first vending machine was invented in the early 1880s by Percival Everett

It was a simple machine that dispensed postcards when a coin was inserted. However, the first modern vending machine, as we know it today, was invented by Simeon Denham in England in the early 1880s.

This machine dispensed a variety of items, including postcards, envelopes, and notepaper. However, the first successful vending machine was invented by Thomas Adams in 1888, which dispensed chewing gum.

The machine was a hit and paved the way for the modern vending industry that we know today.

The first vending machine dispensed holy water in Ancient Egypt around 215 BC. The machine accepted a coin and dispensed a measured amount of holy water. More modern vending machines were developed in the 1880s, which dispensed postcards, and in the early 1900s, machines were developed that dispensed gum, candy, and cigarettes.
