Superman's real name is Kal-El. He was born on the planet Krypton and was sent to Earth as an infant by his parents, Jor-El and Lara, just before the destruction of their home planet. He was discovered and adopted by the Kents, a farming family from Smallville, Kansas, who raised him as their own son and named him Clark Kent. As Clark Kent, he works as a reporter at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, using his superhuman abilities to fight for truth, justice, and the American way as Superman.
