King Charles' coronation took place on July 2nd, 1953. He was crowned at Westminster Abbey in London and was the first British monarch to be crowned in the abbey since his great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, in 1838.
While Charles became King on the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September,2022; Coronation on 6th May,2023, Saturday was the formal crowning.
