Suga, a South Korean rapper and songwriter who is a member of the popular boy band BTS, used the stage name "Gloss" during his time in the underground rap scene. Gloss made his debut in 2010 as a part of the hip-hop crew D-Town, which was based in Daegu, South Korea. It was during that time that he gained recognition for his skills as a rapper and producer, eventually catching the attention of Big Hit Entertainment, the record label that would later debut BTS. After joining the company in 2013, Suga began using his real name and debuted with BTS in 2013 as the rapper and lead dancer of the group.
