The first K-Pop artist to be invited to perform at Tokyo Dome was BoA, a South Korean singer and actress. She made her debut in 2000 at the age of 13 and went on to become a global star with her music and dance performances. In 2004, BoA held her first concert in Tokyo Dome, making her the first K-Pop artist to perform in the iconic venue. Her success paved the way for many other K-Pop artists to expand their fan base in Japan and other countries. Today, BoA is considered a pioneer of the Hallyu wave, or the Korean Wave, which refers to the global popularity of Korean entertainment and culture.
