Search Engines contain billions of pages related to some relevant data. They keep updating their resource by downloading various web pages, collecting their web links and arranging them according to the most relevant data in them and also collects the basic data about the web page like the amount of people opening the website, how positive is it for the viewers. This enables a search engine to devise its own algorithm to sort these web pages out and provide with the most accurate information related to a topic entered by a user on the search engine. Thus instead of visiting various websites and getting data from each one of them, a search engine does that data acquisition and data exploration work for you and present you the data you ought to look for.

Search engines work by indexing web pages and then using algorithms to rank them based on relevance to a given query. This allows users to quickly find the most relevant information for their search. Search engines are important for internet use because they make it easier to find the information you need, without having to manually search through websites.
