Prince Siddhartha is another name for Gautama Buddha, the central figure of Buddhism. Gautama Buddha was born as Prince Siddhartha Gautama in the 6th century BCE in what is now Nepal. He later renounced his royal life and pursued a spiritual quest, ultimately attaining enlightenment and becoming the Buddha, meaning "the awakened one." Gautama Buddha's teachings form the foundation of Buddhism, emphasizing the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path as a means to overcome suffering and achieve liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
