Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus were gods of the ancient Roman civilisation. These gods were based on the gods of the ancient Greeks, and were adopted by the Romans. Mars was the god of war, Jupiter was the king of the gods, Mercury was the god of commerce and communication, and Venus was the goddess of love and beauty. Additionally, Saturn was the god of agriculture, and Neptune was the god of the sea.

Mars, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus were gods of the ancient Roman civilisation. The Romans believed that these gods were responsible for various aspects of their lives including war (Mars), the sky and thunder (Jupiter), commerce and travel (Mercury), and love and beauty (Venus). These deities were also associated with various symbols such as Mars’ spear and Jupiter’s eagle. The Roman religion was polytheistic, and these gods were worshipped along with many others. Despite the decline of the Roman Empire, the influence of these gods still remains in many aspects of modern Western culture.
