The lifespan of a gecko lizard varies depending on the species, but commonly they can live anywhere from 5 to 20 years in captivity with proper care. Some species, such as the leopard gecko, can live up to 20 years or more, while others, such as the chameleon, may only live for 5-10 years. In the wild, their lifespan may be shorter due to natural predators, disease, and environmental factors.
