The Kakapo is a large, flightless, and nocturnal parrot native to New Zealand. Although it is flightless, it has a wingspan of up to 3 feet (around 1 meter), which is quite impressive for a bird of its size that cannot fly. The wings of the Kakapo are broad and rounded, which helps them glide through trees, and they are also used for balance and stability during their climbing and jumping movements when they move around the forest at night.
