Size of a Kinkajou:
The kinkajou (Potos flavus) is a small, carnivorous mammal native to the rainforests of Central and South America. It belongs to the family Procyonidae, which includes raccoons and olingos. On average, a kinkajou weighs between 2.5 to 4.5 pounds (1.1 to 2 kg) and measures 15 to 25 inches (38 to 63 cm) in length, including its tail. The tail is long and slender, making up about half of the animal’s total body length.
To put the size of a kinkajou into perspective, it is similar in size to a domestic cat, but with a longer tail. Kinkajous are also relatively lightweight, with a body mass that is only a fraction of that of a similar-sized cat.
It is important to note that the size of a kinkajou can vary depending on the subspecies and the individual animal. Some kinkajous may be larger or smaller than the average size range provided above.
