Sumatran rhinoceroses (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis) are typically sluggish creatures. Although exact sprinting velocities are not extensively recorded, they can achieve velocities of up to 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour) over brief distances. Their substantial, sturdy physique restricts their dexterity and sprinting capacities. These rhinoceroses are more frequently seen strolling or trotting rather than partaking in rapid running.
