Embarkation is the process of passengers boarding a ship, aircraft, or train for a journey. During embarkation, passengers are required to present their travel documents, go through security screening and check in their luggage. Disembarkation is the process of passengers exiting the mode of transportation at the end of the journey, retrieving their luggage, and exiting the terminal.
