Eric Arturo Delvalle was the President of Panama during the Noriega regime. He was elected in 1984 and attempted to remove Manuel Noriega from his position as head of the armed forces, but Noriega staged a coup and Delvalle was removed from office in 1988.

During the Noriega system in Panama, the President was Eric Arturo Delvalle. Delvalle accepted office on July 28, 1985, succeeding Jorge Illueca. Be that as it may, his administration was brief because of his resistance to General Manuel Noriega's tyrant rule. In February 1988, Delvalle endeavored to excuse Noriega as top of the Panamanian Protection Powers, however, Noriega opposed the choice and had Delvalle eliminated from power. Delvalle went in banishment, and Noriega named a follower, Manuel Solís Palma, as a manikin president. Delvalle's opposition against the Noriega system acquired him global acknowledgment as the authentic leader of Panama, even though he was expelled from office.
