Heinkel, a German aircraft manufacturer, also produced cars in Germany. Heinkel ventured into automobile manufacturing after World War II when restrictions were placed on the production of aircraft in Germany. They produced several car models, including the Heinkel Kabine microcar, which gained popularity in the 1950s and early 1960s. However, Heinkel eventually ceased car production in the mid-1960s and focused primarily on other industrial sectors.
