On some question-and-answer platforms like Answeree, users earn points by answering their own questions, and there may not be a strict prohibition against self-answering. However, it's essential to note that these platforms often have guidelines and rules governing self-answering. While you can provide an answer to your own question, there may be penalties or limitations associated with it, such as a reduced point value compared to answering someone else's question. The specific point system and rules may vary from platform to platform, so it's always a good practice to familiarize yourself with the guidelines of the particular platform you're using.

Additionally, engaging with other users' answers, posting comments, or even offering your insights as an answer to other questions can also be a valuable way to participate in the community and earn points. These interactions often contribute to the exchange of knowledge and information in a collaborative manner, which is one of the core principles of Q&A platforms.

I have actually never tried that because I think there is a penality for doing that but why don't you ask questions anonymously so that you can answer them yourself.
