Yes, no single doubt about that. Nowadays traffic on websites comes mainly from mobile (phones or tablets) and having a responsive site means that you will have audience.

If your website is not attractive/responsive chances are you will lose your audience and will not have awesome results. Investing in mobile apps is also a good idea if you want your public to always come back.

Today people are no longer accessing websites on a computer, but on the go. That means that mobile-friendly sites are a must if you want to get more site visitors. Furthermore, when your website is ranked on Google and the other search engines this is a major focal point that search engines look for. If your website isn't mobile-friendly your ranking will really drop.

Take a look at your stats on your website. They are broken down by the way a person finds your site. You'll see on there that you'll have a lot of visitors from mobile search engine apps. I see on my website that each day around 250 people will visit my site from an Android app.  If my website wasn't user-friendly or even mobile-friendly, I'd lose a lot of site visitors each day. The more people who visit your site the higher your rankings are. Google will start to display your content on the home page for people to find it easier. I have noticed that over 75& of my content is displayed now on the first page of Google and other search engines. The articles that people visit most often are always displayed on the home or first page of all major search engines.

Today most website building program have already included a responsive or mobile-friendly design in the program so you don't need to worry about this any longer. All you basically need to do is create your site and the programs will adjust the site to display on mobile devices. All you basically need to worry about is the length of your articles and how much a person needs to scroll down to read them.

I don't think you have too much to worry about today if you are building a new website. However, if you have an existing site online, you should check this site and see if it is mobile-friendly and if it isn't try and upgrade your program or make the necessary changes to your blog or website.

In April 2015, Google released new mobile friendly ranking algorithm, which is especially design to boost to mobile friendly page in Google mobile search results. Generally all websites should be fully mobile responsive. Almost roughly 20% of the generic search came from mobile device. So it's important to design your website responsive.

Yes it should be and also it has to be very attractive and also should be very easy to use. Most people in the world own mobile phones that they use in their every days life. A bad made website makes the user unlikely to use it and also annoys the users every time they use it. Nobody likes unpleasant things in their life.

Responsive Web design is the approach that suggests that design and development should respond to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation.

The practice consists of a mix of flexible grids and layouts, images and an intelligent use of CSS media queries. As the user switches from their laptop to iPad, the website should automatically switch to accommodate for resolution, image size and scripting abilities. One may also have to consider the settings on their devices; if they have a VPN for iOS on their iPad, for example, the website should not block the user’s access to the page. In other words, the website should have the technology to automatically respond to the user’s preferences. This would eliminate the need for a different design and development phase for each new gadget on the market.

Yes in today's time. Your website should allow the access on any digital device. Like say mobile, laptop and other devices. You can see that design services often make use of the responsive frameworks. Like say bootstrap, foundation etc.

If you want your website to be accessible and easy to navigate, then you should use those existing frameworks. I am sure this way you don't have to worry about various screen size changes as well.
