Why do you use chicken leftovers, like bones,if you already have chicken broth? That makes no sense.

It is because it is more quicker and easier to boil both the chicken leftovers and boiled veg at the same time rather than separately due to not having to clean out twice the equipment.

To save time you can boil both veggies and the chicken leftovers but if you want to have a richer taste you can first boil the chicken first then once its good you can then add the veggies.

Boiling vegetables and chicken leftovers together can save time, as the vegetables will absorb the flavor of the broth. Additionally, boiling chicken leftovers (such as bones) can extract additional flavor from the bones and add more depth to the broth. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide which method they prefer.

While it may seem convenient to boil vegetables in the same pot with chicken leftovers to save time, it is not recommended. Vegetables and chicken have different cooking times and temperatures, and boiling them together can result in overcooked or undercooked vegetables, or potentially unsafe chicken.

Chicken leftovers should be reheated to an internal temperature of 165°F to ensure that any harmful bacteria is killed. Vegetables typically require less time and heat to cook properly.

To save time, you can consider cooking vegetables separately in the microwave, steaming them, or roasting them in the oven while reheating the chicken leftovers. This will help ensure that both the chicken and vegetables are cooked properly and safely, while also saving time.
