The difference between standard and intermediate car rental in the US is primarily the size of the vehicle. Standard car rentals are typically smaller, 4 door sedans, while intermediate car rentals are generally larger, 4 door vehicles such as SUVs or minivans. Additionally, intermediate car rentals may also come with additional features such as more legroom or cargo space.

In the context of car rental in the US, the terms "standard" and "intermediate" refer to different categories of vehicles. A standard car is typically larger and more spacious, suitable for accommodating up to five passengers and offering ample trunk space. An intermediate car, on the other hand, is smaller and more fuel-efficient, designed for accommodating up to four passengers with relatively less trunk space.
