your USB port on your laptop or computer may not work due to the following reason the first is when there is dust on your port ,so you should clean this dust using tiny tools and the other thing is when you update your operating system it may miss behave so make sure to install compatible driver from driver pack or from online driver updater software unless and other wise it is hardware problem.

The USB device may become unresponsive because of a race condition in the Selective Suspend feature. The Selective Suspend feature suspends the USB device to efficiently maintain battery power by enabling the computer to turn off the USB device. However, sometimes this feature may not correctly wake up the USB device.

There could be several reasons why your laptop's USB port is not working, including driver issues, hardware problems, power supply issues, or damage to the port. Troubleshoot by updating drivers, checking cables and devices, and restarting the laptop. If the problem persists, consult a professional.

If your laptop's USB port is not working, it could be due to a loose or damaged port, outdated or corrupted drivers, a power management issue, a malfunctioning device, or a hardware issue. Troubleshoot the issue by connecting a different device, checking your power settings, updating your drivers, and checking for physical damage. If none of these solutions work, seek professional assistance.

Restart the computer

If scanning for new hardware did not fix the problem, try restarting the computer. After the computer has restarted, check the USB device to see whether it is working. If restarting the computer fixed the problem, you are finished
