The closest system neighbor to our Solar System is the Alpha Centauri system, which is about 4.37 light-years away. It consists of three stars: Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Proxima Centauri, the latter of which is the closest star to our Sun. There are ongoing studies to explore the possibility of planets orbiting these stars.
