The Philadelphia Eagles football team was formerly known as the Frankford Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets were a professional football team that played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1924 to 1931. The team was based in Frankford, Pennsylvania, which is now a neighborhood in the city of Philadelphia. The Eagles franchise was established in 1933 and bought the assets of the Frankford Yellow Jackets, including the players and the team name.
