Pinocchio is a fictional character whose nose grew longer every time he told a lie. He is the protagonist of the classic children's story "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Italian author Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio is a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy, but he must first learn to be truthful and brave. His nose grows as a consequence of his dishonesty, and he comes to realize that lying only brings trouble.
