The surrealist artist who famously recreated Jean-François Millet's painting, The Angelus, was Salvador Dalí.
Salvador Dalí was a Spanish surrealist artist who was born in 1904 and died in 1989. He is best known for his paintings, which often featured dream-like images and strange objects. His painting The Persistence of Memory is one of the most recognizable works of surrealist art. His recreation of The Angelus, titled The Ecumenical Council, was completed in 1958 and is currently on display at the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.
