Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany in 1770.
Beethoven is one of the most renowned and influential composers of all time. He is considered to be a crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras of Western music. He composed nine symphonies, five concertos for piano, 32 piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, and many other pieces. He also wrote some of the most famous pieces of music, including the "Für Elise" and the "Ode to Joy". He suffered from increasing deafness and died in Vienna in 1827.
