After the Full moon, the moon enters into a Phase called a "waning gibbous" phase. During this phase, the amount of sunlight illuminating the moon decrease gradually as the moon moves towards the third quarter phase. The term "waning" means decreasing or diminishing and "Gibbous" refers to the shape of the moon, which appears to be more than half but less than fully illuminated.

After the full moon, the moon enters into its waning phase which lasts for about 14-15 days. During this phase, the amount of visible moonlight gradually decreases until it becomes a thin crescent or disappears entirely, marking the beginning of a new lunar cycle. The waning phase is also associated with introspection, release, and shedding of things that no longer serve a purpose in our lives.

After a full moon, the moon enters into the waning gibbous phase. This phase is characterized by a moon that is more than half illuminated but less than completely illuminated. The waning gibbous phase will last until the moon is half illuminated, at which point it enters the waning crescent phase.
