A baby horse is known as a foal.

A foal is a young horse, typically less than one year old. Foals are born with a long, woolly coat and are usually able to stand and walk within a few hours of birth. Foals are typically weaned from their mothers at around six months of age, and are usually fully grown by the age of three. Foals are usually very playful and curious, and can often be seen running and playing in the fields.

A baby horse is known as a foal. Foals are born after a gestation period of around 11 months and are able to stand and walk within the first few hours of being born.

They rely on their mother's milk for sustenance and typically stay close to their mother for the first few months of life.

As they grow, they learn to eat grass and other vegetation and develop the strength and skills necessary to survive in the wild or to be trained for riding or other equestrian disciplines.

Foals are often weaned from their mothers between four and six months of age, but may continue nursing and staying close to their mothers for up to a year.
