Moses' mother saved him from being killed by Pharoah as a baby by placing him in a basket and setting him adrift in the Nile River. According to the Bible, Moses' mother, Jochebed, was instructed by God to put her son in a basket and set him adrift in the Nile River. She did this in the hope that someone would find him and save him from the decree of Pharoah that all Hebrew boys should be killed. Her plan worked, and Moses was found and adopted by Pharoah's daughter.

Jochebed, Moses' mother, saved him from Pharaoh's order to kill all Hebrew boys by placing him in a basket made of reeds and hiding him in the Nile river. Pharaoh's daughter found and adopted Moses as her own, and Moses' sister arranged for Jochebed to nurse him, thus saving him from certain death. Moses went on to become a prophet and leader of the Hebrew people.
