don't easily belive and use your logic, for example when someone sells good at a price 50% cheaper than the market price, logically that person doesn't need to sell it online, just put up a billboard in front of his house, people will come and buy it. so logic is very important we use.

You should fix your settings in your online accounts. As much as possible don't share it with anyone or avoid using any online transactions directly to other online accounts like your bank account linked to any other accounts or cards that might lead to scams. At least you have one spare account which not directly linked to your accounts. Even the usage of your major credit cards online when shopping or doing transactions online. Avoid discussing or sending photos of your account on your personal social media accounts to your relatives or even closest friends of yours.

In order to avoid getting scammed by Cybercriminals, there are several important actions that you can rely on to avoid these consequences:

1) Use strong passwords with two-step verification when logging onto an app or a website.

2) Remember that big major companies, such as Amazon, Bank of America, or Paypal will never ask for your Social Security Number or bank information by email, text message, or by phone. If you are being asked for your personal information by a cyber criminal impersonating an employee who works for any of these big major companies, avoid revealing your personal information. Proceed to report the email address or phone number to ReportFraud.ftc.gov or the customer service department of any of these big major companies.

3) Avoid answering phone calls from unknown numbers because Cybercriminals are coming up with clever ways to record people's voices in an effort to continue targeting these types of people.

4) Download the Robokiller app on your smartphone, which can block 99% of spam calls and texts.

5) Make sure your antivirus software is active on your smartphone or computer. Also, make sure the antivirus software is regularly updated to protect against the latest cyber security threats.

6) Avoid saving your credit card numbers, bank numbers, or financial information on your computer or smart phone. If you need to save these types of personal information on your devices, implement a strong password requirement on the files that contain any of those types of personal information. That way, in case your computer or smartphone gets stolen, the cyber criminal will have difficulty accessing those files because of the strong password requirement that is in place.

7) Avoid clicking on suspicious links from unknown numbers or strangers.

8) Avoid going to suspicious websites.

Cybercriminals are constantly developing new and sophisticated ways to scam people. In 2023, it is more important than ever to be aware of the latest scams and how to protect yourself.

Here are some of the best ways to prevent being scammed by cybercriminals in 2023:

* **Be wary of unsolicited emails and text messages.** Phishing attacks are still one of the most common types of scams, and cybercriminals are getting better at making their emails and text messages look legitimate. If you receive an email or text message from someone you don't know, or if the message seems too good to be true, it probably is.

* **Do not click on links in emails or text messages.** If you are unsure about an email or text message, do not click on any links in the message. Instead, go to the website directly by typing the URL into your web browser.

* **Be careful about what information you share online.** Do not give out your personal information to anyone you don't know and trust. This includes your name, address, phone number, Social Security number, and credit card number.

* **Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on all of your online accounts.** Strong passwords are at least 12 characters long and include a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your accounts by requiring you to enter a code from your phone in addition to your password when you log in.

* **Keep your software up to date.** Software updates often include security patches that can help to protect you from known vulnerabilities. Make sure to install software updates as soon as they are available.

* **Use a reputable antivirus and anti-malware program.** An antivirus and anti-malware program can help to protect your computer from viruses, malware, and other threats. Make sure to update your antivirus and anti-malware program regularly.

In addition to the above tips, it is also important to be aware of the latest scams. Cybercriminals are constantly developing new scams, so it is important to stay informed. You can find information about the latest scams on the websites of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

If you think you have been scammed, it is important to report the scam to the FTC and the FBI. You can also report the scam to the company or organization that was impersonated in the scam.
