In American Football, a touchdown is worth 6 points. This is scored when a player crosses the opposition team's goal line with possession of the ball. After scoring a touchdown, the scoring team has the option to try and earn extra points by kicking the ball through the uprights for an extra point or attempting to run or pass the ball into the end zone for a two-point conversion.
