Simca was a car maker in France. It was founded in 1934 by Italian car company Fiat with the goal of expanding their market in Europe. Simca produced a range of popular models throughout the 20th century, including the Simca Aronde, Simca 1000, and Simca-Talbot Horizon. In 1978, the company was sold to Peugeot and eventually merged with Chrysler Europe to form the PSA Peugeot Citroen group in 1979.
