Notus is the Greek god of the south wind. He is often depicted as a young man with wings and a crown of laurels.
Notus is one of the four Anemoi (wind gods) in Greek mythology, alongside Boreas (north wind), Zephyrus (west wind), and Eurus (east wind). He is associated with the season of autumn and is said to bring heavy rains and storms. In some stories, Notus is the father of the Harpies, the winged spirits of sudden, sharp gusts of wind.
