In India, we make desserts like- moong dal halwa (a kind of pudding made of yellow gram lentils), badam phirni kheer (porridge made of almond), sev halwa (apple pudding), teel laddoos (sweet sesame balls made of jaggery), coconut and nut barfis (fudge made of coconut and other nuts and dry fruits, sewain (vermicelli porridge), mishti doi (sweetened yogurt) and so on.  All these are really healthy because usually we prepare most of these with jaggery, which is again a better option than sugar intake.
