The gestation period of dholes, which are also known as Asiatic wild dogs, is approximately 60 to 63 days. During this time, female dholes carry their developing fetuses in their uterus before giving birth to a litter of pups. The size of the litter can vary, but typically ranges from 4 to 6 pups. After birth, the mother dhole and other members of the pack will care for and protect the pups until they are old enough to fend for themselves.
