The okapi is also called the "forest giraffe" because it is found in the dense rainforests of Central Africa. Its dark coat and white stripes help it to blend in with its surroundings. The okapi is closely related to the giraffe, even though it does not have a long neck.

The okapi is sometimes called the "forest giraffe" because of its physical resemblance to the giraffe, particularly in terms of its long neck and legs, as well as its unique coat pattern. However, unlike the giraffe, the okapi inhabits the dense rainforest rather than open savannahs.
