During the Lebanese Civil War, which began in 1975 and lasted until 1990, several different presidents served in office. Some of the most notable presidents during this period include Suleiman Frangieh (1970-1976), Elias Sarkis (1976-1982), Amine Gemayel (1982-1988), and René Moawad (1989). However, none of these presidents held power for the entire duration of the civil war.
