The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization that promotes international trade. It is also the name of the main body of WTO members. The WTO comprises all countries that have signed the existing international trade agreements and also represents new member countries. The WTO’s headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland. Additionally, 162 representatives from its member states meet every year to discuss trade policies and negotiate new agreements on international trade. Additionally, these representatives form committees to examine specific issues related to international trade. These committees form recommendations for their respective member states that are then implemented at the national level.
