The nature and causes of happiness have been subjects of philosophical, psychological, and sociological inquiry for centuries. While there is no one-size-fits-all answer, various factors have been identified as contributing to happiness:

1. **Biological Factors**: Neurochemicals, especially serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins, play a role in feelings of pleasure and happiness.

2. **Basic Needs Fulfillment**: According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, satisfying basic physiological and safety needs can provide a foundation for happiness.

3. **Relationships**: Strong, healthy relationships and social connections have been shown to increase feelings of well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.

4. **Purpose & Meaning**: Engaging in activities that provide a sense of purpose or belonging can contribute to long-term happiness.

5. **Achievements**: Accomplishing goals, whether big or small, can give a sense of satisfaction and happiness.

6. **Mindset & Attitude**: Cultivating a positive outlook, gratitude, and resilience can significantly affect one's happiness.

7. **Physical Health**: A healthy body can lead to a happier mind. Regular exercise releases endorphins, often termed "feel-good" hormones.

8. **Financial Stability**: While excessive wealth doesn't guarantee happiness, financial security can alleviate stress and contribute to well-being.

9. **Work-Life Balance**: Engaging in a fulfilling job and having a balance between work and leisure can lead to greater happiness.

10. **Cultural & Environmental Factors**: The society and environment one lives in can influence happiness. Factors such as societal norms, freedom, governance, and natural surroundings play a role.

11. **Personal Growth**: Learning new skills, acquiring knowledge, and personal development can provide a sense of accomplishment and happiness.

12. **Altruism**: Helping others, whether through acts of kindness, volunteering, or other means, can provide a sense of purpose and happiness.

While these factors can contribute to happiness, it's essential to note that individual experiences and definitions of happiness vary. Personal introspection and understanding one's own needs and desires are crucial in the pursuit of genuine happiness.

It is important to remember that happiness is a personal and subjective emotion. What brings happiness to one individual could not do the same to another. Happiness may be influenced by a combination of genetic predisposition, environmental factors and deliberate actions. According to research in psychology and well-being, while heredity and environmental factors play a part in happiness, people may influence their level of happiness by making decisions that support their wellbeing and by forming positive attitudes and behaviours.

Though there may be no general accepted answer to this question, since it is more subjective than objective. But for the sake of the question. Aristotle made it clear that the end of every man is happiness.

Thus, happiness comes when a set out goal or dream is achieved. When there is good relationship with human and divinity. When you are self - fulfilled your happiness will be greater than an unfulfilled life.

Hence, dream or goal achieved causes happiness and a fulfilled life gives real happiness.

Happiness is a difficult and subjective emotional state that is impacted by a variety of circumstances. Before I proceed further, I would like to say that happiness is by choice.

It is mostly the result of a mixture of positive incidents, substantial social relationships, a feeling of purpose, and overall well-being. People often find fulfillment in relationships, achievements, personal advancement, and service to others. Neurotransmitters and other biological variables also play a role. What provides enjoyment is also influenced by cultural and personal values.

Finally, the basis of happiness might differ greatly amongst persons, making it a profoundly individualized and changing phenomenon. A constant line in the pursuit of happiness is balancing pleasure, importance, and contentment in life.

Based on my experience, there's only one thing that makes human happy and that is yourself.

If you wait for encouragement from others before you can be happy, depression will start setting in because humans or material things will always make you happy.

You have the choice to make of whether or not to be happy every bit of your time.

Hi,

I think happiness means different things to different people. For some, it's a fulfilled family life. For others, a hobby, a passion project.

There can be multiple sources of happiness, things that provide a feeling of joy, and satisfaction.

These are things or events perceived as positive. Happiness is difficult to explain, you just have to feel it!:)
