Some said it does not affect, as long as you stay away from The real cigarette.  Based on my brother's experience it really helped him a lot 'cause it keep him healthy rather than make an excuse for a stick of cigar.

Improved cardiac performance, higher stamina, increased energy, a significantly better mood, and weight management are just a few benefits of vaping on physical performance.

> There is no concrete evidence that e-cigarettes affect fitness in a negative way. However, there is some evidence that vaping can increase your risk of developing lung cancer. Additionally, vaping can also increase your risk of other respiratory illnesses, such as bronchitis.

Although e-cigarettes are generally considered less harmful than traditional cigarettes, they still have the potential to negatively impact fitness. E-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is a stimulant and can have adverse effects on the cardiovascular system. In addition, the aerosol produced by e-cigarettes contains chemicals and particles that can irritate the lungs, leading to breathing problems. Additionally, the flavors used in many e-cigarettes may contain additional chemicals that may be linked to health risks. It is therefore important to weigh the potential risks against the potential benefits when considering using e-cigarettes.

There is still ongoing research on the long-term effects of e-cigarettes on fitness, but here's what we currently know:

Respiratory health: E-cigarettes can have a negative impact on lung function, leading to breathing difficulties and decreased lung capacity. A study published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine found that e-cigarette users had increased airway resistance and inflammatory markers compared to non-smokers.

Cardiovascular health: E-cigarettes can also have a negative impact on cardiovascular health. A study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that e-cigarette use increased heart rate and blood pressure in healthy young adults.

Exercise performance: Nicotine, a common ingredient in e-cigarettes, is a stimulant that can increase heart rate and blood pressure, which may enhance athletic performance. However, it can also lead to dehydration and vasoconstriction, which may impair exercise performance.

Overall, the negative effects of e-cigarette use on respiratory and cardiovascular health may outweigh any potential performance-enhancing effects. It's important to note that e-cigarettes are not a safe alternative to traditional cigarettes and can still have serious health consequences.

It depends on the type of e-cigarette use and the individual's overall fitness level. Some e-cigarettes may be less effective at contributing to fitness levels if they are used with less and/or for a shorter amount of time than average.
