How does looking pleasant help people make friends?

I think it is not easy to make real friends, so to get a close friends need time to know them and try them if they are good or not.

For me I don't get involved too much with strangers , but if one day I meet good friends it will be fine .

People with good looks and pleasant smile will be preferred. Friends  should be there in our good and bad time. Whose who leaves us and turn against us are not good friends.
