It is possible for an elevator to continue for a few more floors before coming to a stop even if the fire alarm pulled.  People may overload the elevator to get away from the fire and this could stop the cab from moving.

I think it will happen. So I usually check if there is a power outage in a particular day. If there is, I would not attempt to ride an elevator.

yes, elevators will usualy stop when a fire alarm is pulled. depending on the elevator system, it is possible to get trapped in the elavator if you were on it when the alarm went off. some elevators will automatically open their doors when they detect a fire alarm. other elevators may require a reset to be done in order to continue functioning.

In California, elevators will stop and doors will open if a fire alarm is pulled. It is not possible to get stuck in an elevator if you were already on it when the alarm went off, as the doors will open and the elevator will no longer move.

What i do know is that when the fire alarm is being on, the elevator might continue a few floor before finally coming to a stop, and maybe you might get trapped.

This depends on whether the elevator is connected to the fire alarm system. If the elaevator is usually achieved via relay output from the CIA (control and indication equipment.

In most cases, pulling a fire alarm will cause elevators to stop as a safety measure. If you were already on the elevator, it may stop at the next floor but you should exit as soon as possible. However, the specific procedures may vary depending on the building and location.

When a fire alarm is pulled, it depends on the building's fire alarm system whether or not the elevators will stop. In modern buildings, the elevators are usually programmed to automatically return to the main floor and stop functioning as a safety measure in case of a fire. This prevents people from getting trapped in elevators or being stranded between floors during an emergency.

However, in older buildings or buildings with outdated fire alarm systems, the elevators may not automatically stop when the fire alarm is activated. In such cases, the elevators may continue to operate normally, which can pose a significant risk to people who are still in the elevator when the alarm goes off.

If you are on an elevator when a fire alarm is activated and the elevator does not stop, there is a possibility that you could become trapped between floors. This is why it is important to follow proper evacuation procedures in the event of a fire and to use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. If you do become trapped in an elevator during an emergency, it is important to stay calm and use the emergency phone or call button to alert authorities and wait for assistance

Pulling a fire alarm will cause the elevators to stop and the doors to open. It is possible to get trapped in the elevator if you were already on it when the alarm went off. However, elevators are designed with a safety feature that allows people to open the doors manually in the event of an emergency. It is important to familiarize yourself with the safety features of any elevator you use. Additionally, if you are ever in an elevator when a fire alarm sounds, it is important to follow the instructions of the local fire department.

In most cases, pulling a fire alarm does not directly cause elevators to stop. Elevator operation during a fire alarm can vary depending on the building's fire safety systems and protocols. However, it is generally recommended to avoid using elevators during a fire alarm as a precautionary measure to ensure safety.

In many buildings when a fire alarm is pulled elevators are programmed to go to a designated floor and then shut down to prevent their use. Getting trapped in an elevator during a fire alarm is unlikely.
