I applied to New York University a few weeks ago and applied score optional, but I have a 4.0 GPA and I'm in the top 10% of my class. I also have taken a few honors classes and an entire year of college classes and I am graduating early. Will all of that make up for the score optional?

To get into NYU, you must be above average in your high school class with a 3•7 GPA it's necessary to have both A and B grade's, ideally with more A than B. A lower GPA may be overcome with a more challenging curriculum, such as AP or IB classes.

It is difficult to say whether you will get into NYU without knowing more information about your application. Your GPA, class ranking, and college classes may be taken into consideration when evaluating your application, but ultimately the admissions committee will consider a variety of factors. It is best to contact the admissions office directly for more information.
