The Day of the Dead or also known as Dia de los Muertos. It is a tradition practiced thousands of years. A celebration of the memory of their loved ones and not about scares. In recent times, the deceased families are honored with an ofrendas, altars adorned with flowers, photos, candles, foods and special belongings of the family being remembered for. On Halloween's Eve or the night before, Mexican's celebrates the Day of the Dead fiesta or festival. The most common motifs of Dia de los Muertos may be the calaveras and calacas also know as skulls and skeleton. It's everywhere in Mexico during the period like in candies, dolls, face paint and even masks which represents death as a part of natural life which is something not to be feared of. Famous animated fantasy movies for this are "Coco" and "The Book of Life".
